„Krisen und kein Ende“ stellt Prof. Dr. Georg Stadtmann auf der CCS in den Raum "Crises and no end" - Prof. Dr. Georg Stadtmann at the CCS

Die Wirtschaft steht immer wieder vor neuen Herausforderungen. Für Prof. Dr. Georg Stadtmann ist das Grund genug, um auf der CCS Controlling Competence Spaces am 24. November eine Keynote mit dem Titel „Krisen und kein Ende“ zu halten. Nach der Mittagspause startet sein Vortrag, in dem er unter anderem die geopolitischen Veränderungen thematisiert und auf den Paradigmenwechsel in der Makroökonomie eingeht. Auch beschäftigt sich der Referierende kritisch mit dem Währungsraum des Euro und geht der Frage nach, ob sich ein Ende der Inflation abzeichnet. Nach dem Abitur absolvierte der Professor für VWL zunächst eine Ausbildung zum Bankkaufmann bei der Sparkasse Essen. Nach dem Zivildienst studierte er Betriebswirtschaftslehre an den Universitäten Essen und Clemson (South Carolina) mit den Schwerpunkten Finanzen und internationale Wirtschaftsbeziehungen. Im Anschluss promovierte und habilitierte er an der WHU – Otto Beisheim School of Management. In seiner Dissertation beschäftigte sich der Referierende mit der heterogenen Bildung von Erwartungen auf Finanzmärkten. Die Habilitation widmete sich dem Thema Devisenmarktinterventionen durch Zentralbanken. Es folgten Vertretungsprofessuren an den Universitäten Düsseldorf, Magdeburg, Frankfurt/Main und der University of Southern Denmark (SDU). Am Lehrstuhl für Volkswirtschaftslehre, insbesondere Wirtschaftstheorie (Makroökonomie) an der Europa-Universität Viadrina Frankfurt ist er für die Ausbildung von StudentInnen in den Fächern Geldtheorie und -politik sowie Makroökonomie zuständig.

After graduating from high school, the professor of economics first completed an apprenticeship as a bank clerk at Sparkasse Essen. After community service, he studied business administration at the Universities of Essen and Clemson (South Carolina) with a focus on finance and international economic relations. He then did his doctorate and habilitation at WHU – Otto Beisheim School of Management. In his dissertation, the speaker dealt with the heterogeneous formation of expectations in financial markets. The habilitation was dedicated to the topic of foreign exchange market interventions by central banks. This was followed by visiting professorships at the Universities of Düsseldorf, Magdeburg, Frankfurt/Main and the University of Southern Denmark (SDU). At the chair for economics, in particular economic theory (macroeconomics) at the European University Viadrina Frankfurt, he is responsible for the training of students in the subjects of monetary theory and policy as well as macroeconomics.
