“Wir müssen Weiterbildungsweltmeister werden” "We have to become a further education world champion"

#ccs2018_controlling

“Digital transformation in the work 4.0” – with this speech, the 16th CCS Controlling Competence Stuttgart starts. Univ. Dr.-Ing. Dr.Ing. E.h. Dr.h.c. Dieter Spath is the speaker. He is president at the German Academy of Engineering Sciences in Munich. He focuses on the productivity pressure due to the shortage of skilled workers. The logical consequences are for him increases in efficiency, also through rationalization and digitalization. But he thinks that the development of high-margin products and services as well as a high quality of location are important and viable ways. “Education must ensure that the best educated people are here. We urgently need to become a further education world champion” – his suggestions for the framework conditions, which he further elaborates in the following speech: “What is driving people around” and “What can markets do for them?”. In particular, he focuses on the high-tech topics of 2018 from the point of view of the digital industry and to what extent the digital transformation can be understood as a pioneer and not as an obstacle.
