Dr. Thomas Schulz, Akademischer Leiter Nachhaltigkeitsprogramme der EBS Executive School, ist der Gastgeber des kostenfreien ICV Live Webinars am 02. März 2023. Von 16 bis 17 werden “Nachhaltige Unternehmensführung und Controlling” vom Referenten in den Fokus gestellt.
Innerhalb der Nachhaltigkeitstransformation eines Unternehmens gewinnt der Bereich Controlling eine immer wichtigere Rolle. Die Aufgaben des Controllings haben sich erweitert und beinhalten nun auch die Planung, Steuerung, Kontrolle und Berichterstattung der Nachhaltigkeitsleistung des Unternehmens. Dadurch wird die Rolle des Controllers als “betriebswirtschaftliches Gewissen” noch bedeutender, da nun die Integration der finanziellen und nichtfinanziellen Zielsetzungen im Fokus steht. Es ist also notwendig, das Controlling neu zu denken.
In diesem ICV-Webinar werden zunächst die Grundlagen einer nachhaltigen Unternehmensführung erläutert. Es wird gezeigt, dass eine Ausrichtung auf Nachhaltigkeit der Geschäftsstrategie zahlreiche Auswirkungen auf das gesamte Unternehmen hat – einschließlich aller Funktionsbereiche wie der Finanzfunktion und der strategischen und operativen Unternehmenssteuerung. Im Zentrum stehen dabei ESG-Controlling, Impact Measurement und ESG-Risikomanagement sowie der gesamte Komplex des Sustainability Reportings und das wichtige Thema der Steuerung und Berichterstattung des Klimarisikos.

Controlling is playing an increasingly important role in the sustainability transformation of a company. The tasks of controlling have expanded and now also include the planning, management, control and reporting of the company’s sustainability performance. This makes the controller’s role as “business conscience” even more important, since the focus is now on the integration of financial and non-financial objectives. It is therefore necessary to rethink controlling.
In this ICV webinar, the basics of sustainable corporate management will first be explained. It is shown that an orientation towards sustainability of the business strategy has numerous effects on the entire company – including all functional areas such as the finance function and strategic and operational corporate management. The focus is on ESG controlling, impact measurement and ESG risk management as well as the entire complex of sustainability reporting and the important issue of controlling and reporting climate risk.
