Das alljährliche Highlight der Controlling-Community, der Congress der Controller, hat einen neuen Termin. Der 45. Congress der Controller ist wegen der Corona-Krise auf den 26./27. April 2021 verschoben worden. Ursprünglich hätte der Congress in München am 27./28. April 2020 stattgefunden.
Der Vorstand des ICV (International Association of Controllers) hat nach sorgfältigem Abwägen möglicher Szenarien den Entschluss zur langfristigen Verschiebung gefasst. „Aufgrund der schwer einschätzbaren Situation werden derzeit viele, auch sehr prominente, Veranstaltungen auf unbestimmte Zeit verschoben. Dies führt für alle Beteiligten zu einer unbefriedigenden Situation des Wartens und der Kompromisse“, heißt es in einer Erklärung. Mit der langfristigen Verschiebung soll diese Situation entspannt und der Congress in der gewohnt hohen Qualität veranstaltet werden.
Die bereits angemeldeten Teilnehmer wurden vom ICV bezüglich der weiteren Vorgehensweise direkt kontaktiert. Dabei wirbt der gemeinnützige Verein um Unterstützung in dieser schwierigen Zeit. Gleichzeitig wurde mit der Planung für 2021 begonnen. Informationen zum neuen Congress-Programm 2021 werden so früh wie möglich bereitgestellt.

After carefully considering possible scenarios, the Board of the ICV (International Association of Controllers) made the decision to postpone the Congress for the long term. “Due to the situation difficult to assess, many events, even very prominent, are currently being postponed indefinitely. However, this leads to an unsatisfactory waiting situation for everyone involved”, says the statement. In a long-term, this situation should calm down and the Congress should be organized in the usual high quality.
The already registered participants were contacted directly by the ICV regarding the further procedure. In doing so, the non-profit Association seeks support in this difficult time. At the same time, planning for 2021 began. We will privide information about the new 2021 Congress agenda as soon as possible.
