Die Firmenmitglieder im ICV fühlen sich wie der ICV selbst der Nachhaltigkeit verpflichtet. Ein aktuelles Beispiel dafür ist Firmenmitglied Alfred Kärcher SE & Co.KG. Das Unternehmen hat für den vorbildlichen Umgang mit Ressourcen den Deutschen Nachhaltigkeitspreis 2022 erhalten, Europas größte Auszeichnung für ökologisches und soziales Engagement.
Die Auszeichnung orientiert sich an der Umsetzung der Ziele der Agenda 2030 und damit an den wesentlichen Transformationsfeldern wie Klima, Biodiversität, Ressourcen, Lieferkette und Gesellschaft. Begründet wird die Auszeichnung von Kärcher mit der durchdachten Initiative „Reduce, Reuse, Recycle“. Mit dieser hat Kärcher erreicht, dass alle Werke weltweit CO2-frei produzieren, so Hartmut Jenner, Vorsitzender des Vorstands der Alfred Kärcher SE & Co. KG. Weitere Ziele für die Umsetzung von Nachhaltigkeitszielen hat sich das Unternehmen bis 2025 vorgenommen. Kärcher wurde aus den sieben Finalisten der Kategorie „Transformationsfeld Ressourcen“ als Sieger ausgewählt.

The ICV corporate members, like the ICV itself, feel committed to sustainability. A current example of this is a corporate member Alfred Kärcher SE & Co.KG. The company received the German Sustainability Award 2022 for the exemplary use of resources, Europe’s largest award for ecological and social commitment.
The award is based on the implementation of the goals of the 2030 Agenda and thus on the key areas of transformation such as climate, biodiversity, resources, supply chain and society. Kärcher’s award is based on the well thought-out initiative “Reduce, Reuse, Recycle”. With this, Kärcher has achieved that all plants worldwide produce CO2-free, according to Hartmut Jenner, Chairman of the Board of Alfred Kärcher SE & Co. KG. The company has set further goals for the implementation of sustainability goals by 2025. Kärcher was selected as the winner from the seven finalists in the “Resources transformation field” category.
