Am 18. November fand die 17. Controller Advantage Bonn wieder als Präsenzveranstaltung statt; im vergangenen Jahr hatte die Herbsttagung des ICV leider nur virtuell ausgerichtet werden können. Organisiert wird die CAB durch die sechs Arbeitskreise der Region West im ICV. Alle Beteiligten und auch die Teilnehmer haben sich dieses Jahr besonders auf die Veranstaltung gefreut. Dazu bildete das Wasserwerk in Bonn mit großem Saal den sicheren 2G-Rahmen.
Die CAB21 stand unter dem Motto „Chancen und Grenzen des agilen Controllings“. Agilität als Schlagwort steht in der heutigen Zeit hoch im Kurs. Agil schreiben und agil sein, sind zwei Paar Schuhe – deshalb haben die Organisatoren die gesamte Veranstaltung daran ausgerichtet: der Frontalvortrag entfällt, die Tische gehen an den Rand und werden nur zum Mittag benötigt, die Teilnehmer sitzen in versetzten Stuhlreihen im Kreis um den Vortragenden, nach 2 Einstiegsvorträgen diskutieren 5 breakout Gruppen, Teilnehmer und Referenten, Facetten des Agilen Controllings, am Vormittag zu Chancen und am Nachmittag in denselben Konstellationen zu Grenzen des Agilen Controllings.
Das Konzept ist hervorragend bei den Teilnehmern angekommen; die Organisatoren hatten sich auch noch speziell darauf vorbereitet, in dem sie einen Scrum Master Kurs absolviert hatten.
Besonders der Vortrag von Herrn Dr. Würzburger zur Agilitätsfalle hat beeindruckt, rückt er doch klar den Menschen als Handelnden in den Vordergrund, der mitgenommen werden will. Agilität erfordert ein Mindset, das den Mitarbeiter – und den Kunden – in den Vordergrund stellt. Die Bausteine z.Bsp des OKR sind nur Hilfsmittel und kein Selbstzweck.
Zum Ende der Veranstaltung wurden die Gruppenergebnisse vorgestellt und diskutiert. Im Gegensatz zu früheren Formaten gab es lebhafte Diskussionen unter den Teilnehmern. Eine gelungene Veranstaltung!
Den krönenden, vorläufigen, Abschluss bildete ein kostenloser Besuch im Troisdorfer DHL Innovationscenter, bei dem sogar 2G+ erforderlich war. Aber kein Problem, da die CAB für alle Testkits kostenlos bereitgestellt hatte.
Das DHL Innovationscenter ist das erste seiner Art bei DHL; mittlerweile sind 3 weitere weltweit hinzugekommen. Uns wurden die neuesten technischen Entwicklungen rund um das Sortieren und Bewegen von Paketen gezeigt. Das umfasst viele Formen des Scannen, ein Hebekorsett für schwere Pakete, Drohnen aber auch Lastfahrräder um nur einiges zu nennen. Die Nachhaltigkeit ist ein wichtiges Kriterium.
Im Nachklang zur Tagung wird eine Webinar Reihe angeboten werden, bei der die Teilnehmer die Möglichkeit haben, auch die Inhalte der 4 nicht-besuchten breakout Sessions virtuell mitzudiskutieren, um ein persönliches umfassendes Erlebnis zum Agilen Controlling zu erhalten.

On November 18, the 17th Controller Advantage Bonn took place again as a face-to-face event; Last year, this ICV autumn conference could unfortunately only be held virtually. The CAB is organized by the six Work Groups of the Germany West Region in the ICV. All those involved and also the participants were particularly looking forward to the event this year. The waterworks in Bonn with a large hall formed the secure 2G (geimpft or genesen – German for vaccinated or recovered) venue.
The motto of the CAB21 was “Chances and Limits of Agile Controlling”. Agility as a catchphrase is very popular these days. But writing agile is a different story than being agile – which is why the organizers have concentrated the entire event on it: there is no scene, the tables are gone and are only needed at lunchtime, the participants sit in rows of chairs in a circle around the speaker, After 2 introductory speeches, 5 breakout groups, participants and speakers discuss the facets of agile controlling, in the morning on opportunities and in the afternoon in the same constellations on the limits of agile controlling.
The concept was extremely well received by the participants; the organizers had also specially prepared for this by completing a Scrum Master course.
Especially the lecture by Dr. Würzburger on the agility trap was impressive, as he clearly focuses on people as actors who want to be taken along. Agility requires a mindset that puts the employee – and the customer – in the foreground. The building blocks of the OKR, for example, are only aids and not a goal in themselves.
At the end of the event, the group results were presented and discussed. In contrast to previous formats, there were lively discussions among the participants. A successful event!
The crowning, provisional, conclusion was a free visit to the Troisdorf DHL Innovation Center, which even required 2G+. But no problem, as the CAB had provided test kits for all free of charge.
The DHL Innovation Center is the first of its kind at DHL; meanwhile 3 more have been added worldwide. We were shown the latest technical developments in sorting and moving parcels. This includes many forms of scanning, a lifting corset for heavy parcels, drones but also cargo bikes, to name just a few. Sustainability is an important criterion.
After the conference, a series of webinars will be offered in which the participants have the opportunity to virtually discuss the contents of the 4 non-attended breakout sessions in order to get a personal, comprehensive experience on agile controlling.
