Über den 3. Management & Controlling Kongress am 9. Oktober, ausgerichtet durch das Institut für wirtschaftliche und technologische Unternehmensführung an der Hochschule Ostwestfalen-Lippe e.V., berichtet Thomas Meyer, Leiter des ICV Arbeitskreises Westfalen. Vielen Dank für die Information!
Der ICV ist Kooperationspartner der Hochschule Ostwestfalen Lippe und des Kongresses. In einem nicht alltäglichen Ambiente eines umgebauten Landgutes trafen sich erneut über 100 Vertreter der 1. + 2. Führungsebene aus dem Großraum Ostwestfalen-Lippe. Dieser Kongress hat sich in kürzester Zeit zu einer festen Größe etabliert. Der ICV war durch den Arbeitskreisleiter Westfalen, Thomas Meyer, und mit einem Info-Stand vertreten.
In den Vorjahren hatten Prof. Dr. Jürgen Weber und Prof. Dr. Utz Schaeffer (ICV-Kuratorium) sowie ICV-Vorstand Karl-Heinz Steinke als Keynote-Speaker den ICV repräsentiert. Auf dem Kongress 2018 berichtete Lidl-Geschäftsführer Pierre Schalbe in der Keynote über die digitale Transformation des Controllings. Dieser schwierige Prozess begann vor elf Jahren mit der Schaffung eines Zentral-Controllings und erreicht die heutige Betreuung von über 10.000 Filialen in 30 Ländern mit 260.000 Mitarbeitern und 75 Mrd. Umsatz. Das Ergebnis sind 80.000 Berichtsaufrufe/Tag aus 23 Quellsystemen und 800 Mio. Daten Zeilen pro Tag. Und dieser Prozess geht weiter.
Das Themenkaleidoskop bot einen Blick über den reinen Controlling Tellerrand hinaus: Es zeigte den industriellen 3D Druck als Treiber der Digitalisierung, BI im Mittelstand bzw. die praktische Controlling-mäßige Umsetzung aus einem integrierten Strategieprozess. Der Beirat der Warsteiner Unternehmensgruppe berichtete über Corporate Governance in einem mittelständischen Familienunternehmen. Der Abend schloss mit einem ‚Live Cooking‘ Abendbufett und weiterem Networking.
In seinen zalreichen Einzelgesprächen am Rande des Kongresses stellte der ICV AK-Leiter Westfalen fest, dass zwar viele kaufmännische Leiter und Controller zum Kongress nach Paderborn gekommen waren, der Bekanntheitsgrad des ICV bei ihnen aber zu wünschen übrigließ.
In letzter Zeit sind weitere Controller aus dem Raum OWL zum ICV-Arbeitskreis Westfalen gestoßen. Die nächsten Sitzungen im Jahr 2019 finden bei Stiebel Eltron in Holzminden und bei Miele, Gütersloh statt. Weitere Kollegen werden gerne in das Netzwerk aufgenommen. Für den 29. Oktober 2019 ist der nächste, dann der 4. Management und Controlling Kongress, angekündigt. Im Rahmen der Partnerschaft erhalten ICV- Mitglieder wieder einen Nachlass auf die Teilnahmegebühr.

The ICV is a cooperation partner of the University of Applied Sciences Ostwestfalen-Lippe e.V. and the Congress. Once again, over 100 representatives of the 1st and 2nd management level from the region Ostwestfalen-Lippe met in an unusual ambience of a refurb estate. The Congress has become a must in a very short time. The ICV was represented by the head of the work group Westphalia, Thomas Meyer, and with an information stand.
In previous years, Prof. Dr. Jürgen Weber and Prof. Dr. Utz Schaeffer (ICV Board of Trustees) and ICV Board Member Karl-Heinz Steinke represented the ICV as the keynote speaker. At the Congress 2018 Lidl CEO Pierre Schalbe reported in the keynote on the digital transformation of controlling. This difficult process began eleven years ago with the creation of central controlling and today provides support to more than 10,000 branches in 30 countries with 260,000 employees and 75 billion turnover. The result is 80,000 report views per day from 23 source systems and 800 million data lines per day. And this process continues.
The thematic kaleidoscope offered a look beyond pure controlling, outside the box. It showed industrial 3D printing as a driver of digitalization, BI in small and medium-sized enterprises and the practical controlling implementation from an integrated strategy process. The advisory board of the Warsteiner Group reported on corporate governance in a medium-sized family business. The evening ended with a ‘live cooking’ evening buffet and further networking.
In his one-to-one interviews on the sidelines of the Congress, the head of the ICV work group Westphalia noted that although many commercial managers and controllers had come to Paderborn for the Congress, the ICV is little-known among them.
More controllers from the area Ostwestfalen-Lippe have come to the ICV work group Westphalia lately. The next meetings in 2019 will take place at Stiebel Eltron in Holzminden and at Miele, Gütersloh. Other colleagues are welcome to join the network (please contact the group leader!)
