Bereits seit 2003 vergibt der ICV den ICV Controlling Excellence Award als Auszeichnung für vorbildliche Controlling-Lösungen. Aus allen Einreichungen werden drei Arbeiten nominiert und wird ein Gewinner gekürt. 2022 erhielt das Team von Deutsche Post DHL Group den begehrten Controlling-Award für das Projekt „Integration der Nachhaltigkeitsziele im Controlling“. Wer ebenfalls ein ausgezeichnetes Projekt entwickelt hat, kann sich mit diesem bereits für 2023 bewerben. Im nächsten Jahr wird der Award wieder auf dem Congress der Controller verliehen. Die 47. Ausgabe der Fachtagung wird am 15./16. Mai 2023 in München stattfinden. Das Gewinner-Team hat im Rahmen der Preisübergabe auch die Möglichkeit, die siegreiche Lösung im Detail vorzustellen. Zudem winkt ein Preisgeld von 3.000 Euro. Die Fachjury, bestehend aus Prof. Dr. Utz Schäffer, Prof. Dr. Andreas Seufert, Prof. Dr. Ute Vanini, Roland Iff, Dr. rer. pol.
