Der Internationale Controller Verein (ICV) hat zum 20. Mal an die Fachhochschule in Steyr eingeladen, um die deutschsprachige Controlling Community zu treffen. Obwohl die Veranstaltung coronabedingt wieder online stattfinden musste, waren Vortragende wie Teilnehmende jedoch bester Stimmung.
FH-Prof. Dr. Heimo Losbichler, Dekan der FH OÖ, Vorstandsvorsitzender des ICV und Organisator der CIS freute sich ebenfalls: „Ich bin dankbar für das Interesse der Teilnehmer:innen über all die Jahre, für die Bereitschaft der Referenten, offen Einblicke in Herausforderungen und Lösungen ihrer Unternehmen zu geben und die Treue der Sponsoren“. Seit der ersten Ausgabe im Jahr 2002 hat sich die Controlling Insights Steyr zu einer der bedeutendsten Controlling-Veranstaltungen in Europa entwickelt und gleichzeitig auch den Studiengang Controlling, Rechnungswesen und Finanzmanagement in Steyr zu internationaler Bekanntheit verholfen.
Mag. Maria. Steiner, Risikovorständin der VKB-Bank, wies in der Eröffnung auf die Bedeutung des modernen Controllings für den nachhaltigen Erfolg der Unternehmen hin. Aus diesem Grund engagiert sich die VKB-Bank auch seit vielen Jahren als Hauptsponsor der CIS.
Die Themen Nachhaltigkeit, digitale Transformation und agile Planungsansätze bestimmten die Jubiläumsveranstaltung. Dr. Georg Pölzl, Generaldirektor der Österreichischen Post AG, erläuterte in seinem Eröffnungsvortrag die Umsetzung der Nachhaltigkeitsstrategie der Post und stellte die Initiativen zur CO2-Reduktion vor.
Joachim Nickum von Aldi Süd sowie Florian Grubinger und Thomas Rockenschaub von Engel Austria thematisierten, wie beide Unternehmen die Planung und Budgetierung agiler und effizienter machen. Eine aktuelle Studie der FH verdeutlicht, dass die durchschnittliche Planungsdauer der österreichischen Unternehmen 12 Wochen beträgt und sich trotz vielfältiger Versuche in den letzten Jahren nicht verkürzt hat. Carsten Bange, Geschäftsführer von BARC, gab einen spannenden Überblick über die Dynamik am Markt für Controlling-Software. Markus Hofer, CFO der Miba AG, skizzierte, wie sich MIBA durch neue externe Rahmenbedingungen, insbesondere der Elektromobilität, transformieren muss.
Eine Podiumsdiskussion zum Thema „Grün und profitabel – wie gelingt der Wandel?“ mit dem Bundesminister für Arbeit Prof. Dr. Martin Kocher, Mag. Doris Hummer, Präsidentin WKO OÖ, Dipl. Ing. Stefan Stallinger, Vorstandsdirektor der Energie AG, und Markus Hofer, MIBA AG, bildetet den krönenden Abschluss der Jubiläumsveranstaltung.
The International Association of Controllers (ICV) invited the German-speaking controlling community to the University of Applied Sciences in Steyr for the 20th time. Although the event had to take place online again due to corona, both speakers and participants were in a great mood.
FH Prof. Dr. Heimo Losbichler, Chairman of the Board of the International Association of Controllers (ICV) and organiser of the CIS was also pleased: “I am grateful for the interest of the participants over all the years, for the willingness of the speakers to openly give insights into challenges and solutions of their companies and for the loyalty of the sponsors”. Since the first edition in 2002, Controlling Insights Steyr has developed into one of the most important controlling events in Europe and at the same time has helped the degree programme in Controlling, Accounting and Financial Management in Steyr to become internationally known.

The topics of sustainability, digital transformation and agile planning approaches dominated the anniversary event. Dr. Georg Pölzl, CEO of Österreichische Post AG, explained in his opening speech the implementation of the sustainability strategy of Österreichische Post AG and presented the initiatives for CO2 reduction.

Markus Hofer, CFO of MIBA AG, outlined how MIBA has to transform itself due to new external framework conditions, especially electromobility.
A panel discussion on the topic of “Green and profitable – how can the change succeed?” with Federal Minister of Labour Prof. Dr. Martin Kocher, Mag. Doris Hummer, President of the Upper Austrian Chamber of Commerce, Dipl. Ing. Stefan Stallinger, Director of the Board of Energie AG and Markus Hofer, MIBA AG formed the crowning conclusion to the anniversary event.
