15 Sprecher, zwölf interaktive Sessions und ein innovatives Online-Format: Die 18. CCS Controlling Competence Stuttgart, im Süden Deutschlands etablierte ICV-Fachtagung für Unternehmenssteuerung und Finance und als solche seit 17 Jahren Treffpunkt für Praktiker, Dozenten, Wissenschaftler und Studenten aus dem Controlling, präsentiert sich 2020 erstmals online. Die Organisatoren legen wie üblich großen Wert auf hochwertigen fachlichen Content gemäß dem Motto: “Die Krise als Chance?! – die neue Realitäten für Controlling und Finance”. Ganz nebenbei nehmen sie die Teilnehmenden auch mit der Konferenzsoftware gleich mit auf neue Wege.
In “Spaces” werden die CCS-Besucher als Avatare in die virtuelle Konferenzwelt und ihre Wunsch-Sessions gebeamt. Alle Teilnehmenden – Besucher, Referenten, Moderatoren und Aussteller – können sich im innovativen 3-D-Format wie bei einer Präsenzveranstaltung austauschen, Präsentationen erleben und an interaktiven Workshops teilnehmen. Outdoor-Lounges laden zum Chatten ein, Meeting-Ecken bieten Raum, um Kontakte zu knüpfen und sich zu vernetzen. Anstatt nur passiv am Computer, ist der Teilnehmer im wahrsten Sinne des Wortes mittendrin.
Am Donnerstag, 26. November, ab 10 Uhr lädt die CCS zu einem runden Programm ein. Keynotes bilden den Rahmen der ganztägigen Veranstaltung, deren Herzstück zwölf Sessions rund um sechs Themenschwerpunkte der Unternehmenssteuerung sind. In Vorträgen, Podiumsdiskussionen und Interaktionen werden neue Ansätze für das Controlling präsentiert, Thesen erläutert, Fragen diskutiert und Erfahrungen ausgetauscht. Die Teilnehmer können aus Performance, Sustainability, Finance, New Work, Controller’s Toolbox und Digitalisierung/Automatisierung wählen. Dabei werden unter anderem die Fragen erläutert, ob Business Analytics und Simulationen zur Controllers Toolbox gehören sollten und wie Digitalisierung und Automatisierung stärker für Controlling- und Finanzprozesse genutzt werden können. Performance geht der Frage nach, wie es Unternehmen gelingt, gleichzeitig zu flexibilisieren, Effizienz zu steigern und Kosten zu reduzieren. Auch in der Rechnungslegung und Unternehmensbewertung stellen sich – coronabedingt – besondere Herausforderungen. Finance widmet sich der Frage, wie sich dies auf die Bilanzpolitik auswirkt. Mit welchen Prinzipien für Führung und Kollaboration eine unternehmensweite Zusammenarbeit erfolgreich gestaltet wird, vertieft New Work. Im Sinne von „Sustainability“ ist schließlich spätestens seit dem Green Deal der EU nachhaltiges Wirtschaften auch ein Thema für Controller.
„Die Krise ist gleichzeitig Chance und finale Deadline!“ Dr. Nicolas Matten von Stiebel Eltron bringt in seiner Eröffnungs-Keynote im Hinblick auf das Motto der CCS die Ambivalenz der Pandemie-Auswirkungen auf den Punkt: neu denken ist Pflicht, auch im Controlling. Wie effektives Controlling zur Krisenbewältigung beiträgt und welche Analysen notwendig sind, um im Krisenfall die richtigen Gegenmaßnahmen zu ergreifen, zeigt Keynote-Sprecher Carl Braun, Director Corporate Controlling bei Kärcher. Für ihn gehören Krisenvorbereitung und -Management zur zentralen Rolle des Controllings. Darüber hinaus erläutert er, wie Kärcher den Budgetprozess 2021 an die neue Situation anpasst. Neue, unternehmensrelevante Gesetze und ihre Auswirkungen stellt Dr. Eren Basar, Fachanwalt für Strafrecht bei Wessing & Partner, in der abschließenden Keynote dar.
Die 18. CCS am 26. November 2020 ist deshalb „the place to be“ für alle, die Lust auf Neues haben, innovative Wege gehen möchten und auf die Veranstalter-Kompetenz des ICV setzen.

15 speakers, twelve interactive sessions and an innovative online format: The 18th CCS Controlling Competence Stuttgart, ICV conference for corporate management and finance established in southern Germany and as such a meeting point for practitioners, lecturers, scientists and students from controlling for 17 years takes place online for the first time in 2020. As usual, the organizers give great importance to high-quality technical content according to the motto: “Crisis as a chance?! – New realities for finance and controlling”. They also take the participants with them on new paths with the conference software.
In “Spaces”, the CCS visitors are beamed as avatars into the virtual conference world and their desired sessions. All participants – visitors, speakers, moderators and exhibitors – can exchange ideas in the innovative 3-D format like at a face-to-face event, experience presentations and take part in interactive workshops. Outdoor lounges invite you to chat, meeting corners offer space to make contacts and network. Instead of just being passive at the computer, the participant is literally right in the middle of it.
On Thursday, November 26, from 10 a.m., the CCS invites you to a round program. Keynotes form the framework of the all-day event, the centerpiece of which is twelve sessions on six main topics of corporate management. In lectures, panel discussions and interactions, new approaches to controlling are presented, theses explained, questions discussed and experiences exchanged. Participants can choose from performance, sustainability, finance, new work, controller’s toolbox and digitization / automation. Among other things, the questions are explained as to whether business analytics and simulations should belong to the controller’s toolbox and how digitization and automation can be used more effectively for controlling and financial processes. Performance explores the question of how companies manage to become more flexible, increase efficiency and reduce costs at the same time. In accounting and company valuation – due to the corona – special challenges arise. Finance looks at how this affects accounting policy. New work explores the principles of leadership and collaboration that are used to successfully shape company-wide cooperation. In the sense of “sustainability”, sustainable management has also been an issue for controllers since the EU’s Green Deal at the latest.
“The crisis is both an opportunity and a final deadline!” Dr. Nicolas Matten from Stiebel Eltron sums up the ambivalence of the effects of the pandemic in his opening keynote with regard to the CCS motto: mind shift is a duty, also in controlling. Keynote speaker Carl Braun, Director Corporate Controlling at Kärcher, shows how effective controlling contributes to crisis management and which analyzes are necessary to take the right countermeasures in the event of a crisis. For him, crisis preparation and management are part of the central role of controlling. He also explains how Kärcher is adapting the budget process in 2021 to the new situation. New company-relevant laws and their effects presents Dr. Eren Basar, lawyer for criminal law at Wessing & Partner in the final keynote.
The 18th CCS on November 26, 2020 is therefore “the place to be” for everyone who is in the mood for something new, wants to go innovative ways and rely on the ICV’s organizing competence.
