Die Ausschreibung 2020 ist jetzt gestartet. Bis zum 31. Januar 2020 können sich Controller/innen bzw. Controlling-Teams bewerben. Der mit 3.000 EUR dotierte Preis für „vorbildliche Controllerarbeit“ wird am 27. April 2020 auf der größten Controlling-Fachtagung Europas, dem 45. Congress der Controller (27./28. April 2020 in München), verliehen.
Die Preisträger kürt eine internationale Jury unter Leitung von Prof. Dr. Dr. h.c. Jürgen Weber, WHU – Otto Beisheim School of Management, Institut für Management und Controlling (IMC), Vorsitzender des ICV-Kuratoriums. Die Entscheidung orientiert sich am gemeinsamen Controller-Leitbild von ICV und International Group of Controlling (IGC). Der Jury-Vorsitzende erläutert: „‘Vorbildliche Controllerarbeit‘ kann anderen Controllern Anstöße für eine konkrete Verbesserung ihres Controllings geben. Zumeist sind diese Lösungen innovativ, zeigen neue Wege auf. Wichtig ist uns dabei die praktische Umsetzbarkeit. Brillante theoretische Lösungen haben wir nicht im Fokus. Das Controlling muss effizienter und/oder effektiver geworden sein, und das nicht nur nach Meinung der Controller, sondern auch der Manager.“

Bewerber sind eingeladen Angaben zu ihrem Controlling-Projekt zu machen: Die Situation vor Beginn und nach Abschluss; Anlass; Ziele; Durchführung; Beteiligte; Erfahrungen; Welchen Beitrag hat das Projekt zum Unternehmenserfolg geleistet? Zur Teilnahme berechtigt sind alle Controller/innen, die in den vergangenen zwölf Monaten entsprechende Lösungen realisiert haben. Das Projekt darf weder bei einem anderen Wettbewerb eingereicht noch bis zur Preisvergabe publiziert worden sein. Im März 2020 nominiert die Jury bis zu drei Preisträgerkandidaten, die zum 45. Congress der Controller 2020 eingeladen werden. Preisverleihung ist am Eröffnungstag, Montag, 27. April 2020. Die Ehrung ist ein Congress-Highlight, der Gewinner stellt die ausgezeichnete Lösung im Plenum den über 600 Besuchern – Controlling-Experten, Manager, Consultants, Hochschullehrer und Medienvertreter – vor.

The call for proposals 2020 has now started. Until January 31, 2020, controllers / controlling teams can apply until January 31, 2020. The Award for “exemplary controller work” donated with 3.000 EUR will be presented on April 27, 2020 at Europe’s largest controlling conference, the 45th Congress of Controllers (April 27/28, 2020 in Munich).
The winners will be selected by an international Jury headed by Prof. Dr. Dr. h.c. Jürgen Weber, WHU – Otto Beisheim School of Management, Institute for Management and Controlling (IMC), Chairman of the ICV Board of Trustees. The decision is based on the common controller’s mission of the ICV and International Group of Controlling (IGC). The jury chairman explained: “’Exemplary controlling’ work can give other controllers impetus for a concrete improvement of their controlling. In most cases, the solutions are innovative, show new ways. Important to us is the practical feasibility. We do not focus on brilliant theoretical solutions. It is also important to us that controlling has to become more efficient and / or more effective, not only in the opinion of the controllers, but also the managers.”

Applicants are invited to provide information on their controlling project: the situation before and after implementation; occasion; aims; execution; people involved; experiences; what contribution has the project made to the company’s success? All controllers who have implemented corresponding solutions in the past twelve months are entitled to participate. The project may not have been submitted to another competition nor published until the award ceremony. In March 2020, the Jury will nominate up to three awardee candidates, who will be invited to the 45th Congress of Controllers 2020. The award ceremony is on the opening day, Monday, April 27, 2020. The award is a Congress highlight, the winner presents the excellent solution in plenary session to more than 600 visitors – controlling experts, managers, consultants, university teachers and media representatives.
