Schweren Herzens hat sich das Organisationskomittee der 20. CIS Controlling Insights Steyr rund um den ICV Vorstandsvorsitzenden Heimo Losbichler kurzfristig entschlossen, die Jubiläumsausgabe der ICV Herbsttagung statt in Präsenz erneut als Online-Tagung anzubieten. Grund sind die aktuell hohen Corona-Inzidenzzahlen in Oberösterreich.
Des einen Leid ist des anderen Freud: Aufgrund des Online-Angebots der renommierten Tagung ist eine Limitierung der Teilnehmerzahl nicht mehr erforderlich. Heimo Losbichler und Elke Schlemmer, die Haupt-Organisatoren, laden deshalb nun erneut ein, bei der CIS 2021 am Freitag, 19. November, unter dem Motto “Erfolgreiche Unternehmenssteuerung in der Post-Covid-Ära: Grün – Digital – Agil?” dabei zu sein.
Auf der Agenda der ganztägigen Veranstaltung am Vormittag steht eine Keynote von GD DI Dr. Georg Pölzl. Der CEO wird über Strategie & Masterplan Nachhaltigkeit 2030 für die Österreichische Post AG berichten. Joachim Nickum, Group Controlling der ALDI SÜD Group, gewährt Einblicke in die Optimierung des Planungsprozesses der Gruppe. Einen Überblick über aktuelle Trends und Entwicklungen am Markt der Planungs- und Reporting-Systeme gibt Dr. Carsten Bange, Geschäftsführer der BARC GmbH. Welche Auswirkungen die Digitalisierung auf die Budgetierung hat – unter besonderer Berücksichtigung der Personalplanung – wissen Ing. Mag. Thomas Rockenschaub und MSC, BSc und Mag. Florian Grubinger von der Engel Austria GmbH.
Das Nachmittagsprogramm startet mit Mag. Markus Hofer. Der CFO der MIBA AG berichtet unter dem Slogan “Who moved my Cheese?” über die Unternehmenstransformation in der Automobilindustrie. Dekarbonisierung, Digitalisierung und Nachhaltigkeit werden dabei genauso zur Sprache kommen wie die Schlagworte EU Green Deal, e-Mobilität, globale Lieferketten vs. Local-to-Local, Nachhaltigkeitsanforderungen und ESG-Reporting. Er leitet damit über in die sich anschließende Podiumsdiskussion, die sich der Frage widmet: Grün und profitabel – wie gelingt der Wandel? Zu diesem brennenden aktuellen Thema tauschen sich Prof. Dr. Martin Kocher, Österreichs Bundesminister für Arbeit, Dr. Michael Strugl, Vorstandsvorsitzender Verbund AG, und Mag. Doris Hummer, Präsidentin WKO (Wirtschaftskammer) Oberösterreich, aus.
Last but not least schließt Prof. Daniel O’Leary die 20. CIS mit einem englischsprachigen Vortrag ab. Der Inhaber des “Chair of Faculty Council”, Professor of Accounting, an der University of Southern California, Los Angeles, geht der Frage nach, wie die “ideale” KI-Application für das Controlling aussieht. Dabei nimmt er Grenzen und Möglichkeiten der Künstlichen Intelligenz unter die Lupe, zeigt führende Praxisbeispiele aus US-amerikanischen Unternehmen und leitet die Schlüsselfunktionen eines idealen Systems her. Abschließend nennt er seine Sicht auf die Frage, die Controllerinnen und Controller dieser Tage weltweit umtreibt: Werden sich ihre Aufgaben ändern und wenn ja – bedeutet der Wandel für das Berufsbild Gewinn oder Verlust?
With a heavy heart, the Organizing Committee of the 20th CIS Controlling Insights Steyr around the ICV Chairman of the Board Heimo Losbichler decided at short notice to offer the anniversary edition of the ICV autumn conference again as an online conference instead of on-site. The reason is the currently high corona incidence figures in Upper Austria.
When someone suffers someone else is happy: Due to the online offer of the renowned conference, it is no longer necessary to limit the number of participants. Heimo Losbichler and Elke Schlemmer, the main organizers, are therefore inviting again to CIS 2021 on Friday, November 19, under the motto “Successful corporate management in the post-covid era: Green – Digital – Agile?”.
On the agenda of the all-day event in the morning is a keynote by GD DI Dr. Georg Pölzl. The CEO reports on the Strategy & Master Plan Sustainability 2030 for Österreichische Post AG. Joachim Nickum, Group Controlling at the ALDI SÜD Group, provides insights into the optimization of the group’s planning process. Dr. Carsten Bange, Managing Director of BARC GmbH provides an overview of current trends and developments in the planning and reporting systems market. Ing.Mag. Thomas Rockenschaub and MSC, BSc and Mag. Florian Grubinger from Engel Austria GmbH know what effects digitalization has on budgeting – with special consideration of personnel planning.

He thus leads on to the subsequent panel discussion, which is dedicated to the question: Green and profitable – how does the change succeed? On this burning current topic, Prof. Dr. Martin Kocher, Austria’s Federal Minister of Labor, Dr. Michael Strugl, Chairman of the Board of Verbund AG, and Mag. Doris Hummer, President WKO (Chamber of Commerce) Upper Austria.
Last but not least, Prof. Daniel O’Leary closes the 20th CIS with an English-language speech. The holder of the “Chair of Faculty Council”, Professor of Accounting, at the University of Southern California, Los Angeles, investigates the question of what the “ideal” AI application for controlling looks like. He examines the limits and possibilities of artificial intelligence, shows leading practical examples from US companies and derives the key functions of an ideal system. Finally, he mentions his opinion on the question that controllers are worried about these days around the world: Will their tasks change and, if so, does the change mean profit or loss for the job description?
