Punkt 9 Uhr eröffnet Prof. Dr. Heimo Losbichler (Bild: links), ICV-Vorstandsvorsitzender und Vorsitzender der International Group of Controlling (IGC), FH Oberösterreich, heute die ICV-Fachtagung 17. Controlling Insights Steyr – CIS 2018. Im großen Saal des Museums Arbeitswelt Steyr begrüßt er im Auftrag der österreichischen Arbeitskreisleiter im Internationalen Controller Verein (ICV) wieder über 350 Gäste. Er dankt den Teilnehmern, die auch 2018 wieder für ein volles Haus sorgen,er dankt den Referenten und Sponsoren. Freude und Stolz klingen aus seinen Worten: „Für die Gäste ist unsere CIS eine Veranstaltung von mehreren im Jahr – für unser Orga-Team ist sie ein forderndes Ganzjahresprojekt.“ Danach führt Gastgeber und Tagungsleiter Professor Losbichler, Studiengangsleiter Controlling, Rechnungswesen und Finanzmanagement, FH Oberösterreich, Fakultät für Management, in das CIS-2018-Thema, „Digitale Transformation – der Hype ist zu Ende“, ein.
Die Keynote spricht Andreas Klauser (Bild: rechts), CEO Palfinger AG. Das Unternehmen ist ein ganz großer, bekannter und bedeutender Lifting Solutions Spezialist. Palfinger ist Ladekran-Hersteller, Weltmarktführer bei Rettungssystemen und hat eine global führende Position bei Kranen für Schiffe, Offshore-Installationen und Offshore-Windparks inne. „Vor der Werkstatt zum Weltmarktführer“ ist die Keynote überschrieben, in der sich Klauser dem Geschäftsmodell von Palfinger und dem Schwerpunkt Digitalisierung widmet. Er skizziert strategische Säulen des Unternehmens: Innovation, Internationalisierung, Flexibilisierung und beschreibt seine Aufgabe damit, sich um nachhaltig profitables, organisches Wachstum durch den Ausbau der Wettbewerbsvorteile zu sorgen. In der Keynote geht Klauser auch auf das Controlling bei Palfinger ein. Interessant: Gesteuert wird vorrangig über rollierende Forecasts. Interessant auch Klausers Statement: Das Controlling ist Business-Partner für das Management, hat aber keine „(Unternehmens-)Berater“-Funktion.
Stefan Huber, CIO des weltweit führenden Technologie- und Industriegüterkonzerns voestalpine, berichtet als zweiter CIS-2018-Redner unter der Überschrift „Process Mining“, wie er den „Geschäftsabläufen im Unternehmen auf die Spur“ kommt. Hubers „Credo“, beim CIO geht es längst nicht allein um Technologie – er fühlt sich vielmehr den Informations- und Prozessflüssen verpflichtet, wird in jedem Satz des spannenden Vortrages deutlich. So erklärt Huber seine Sicht des Process Minings und beschreibt, wie es im voestalpine-Konzern umgesetzt wird.
Wie das mit der auf der Process-Mining-Technologie basierenden Lösung von CELONIS geschieht, zeigt im Anschluss Remy A. Lazarovici. Er ist Senior Vice President Sales EMEA bei(m ehemaligen Startup) CELONIS mit Hauptsitz in München, gegründet vor 7 Jahren, heute bereits mit 400 Beschäftigten. Beeindruckend und smart sein demonstriertes Beispiel „Purchase-to-Pay Analysis“.

He thanks the participants, who ensure a full house again in 2018, he thanks the speakers and sponsors. Joy and pride sound out of his words: “For the guests our CIS is one event of several a year – for our organization team it is a demanding year-round project.” Thereafter, the host and conference leader Professor Losbichler, Head of Controlling, Accounting and Financial Management, FH Upper Austria, Faculty of Management, introduces the CIS-2018 topic, “Digital Transformation – the Hype is Over”.
The keynote is Andreas Klauser (picture: right), CEO Palfinger AG. The company is a big, well known and important lifting solutions specialist. Palfinger is a loader crane manufacturer, the world leader in rescue systems and holds a global leadership position in cranes for ships, offshore installations and offshore wind farms. In the keynote “From a workshop to a world market leader” Klauser focuses on the business model of Palfinger and the digitalization. He outlines strategic pillars of the company: innovation, internationalization, flexibilisation and describes his task in ensuring sustainable, profitable organic growth through the development of competitive advantages. In the keynote, Klauser also talks about controlling at Palfinger. Interesting: management primarily by rolling forecasts. Klauser’s statement is also interesting: Controlling is a business partner for management, but has no “(corporate) consultant” function.
Stefan Huber, CIO of voestalpine, the world’s leading technology and capital goods group, is the second CIS 2018 speaker and reports on how he “tracks down business processes in the company”. The title “Process Mining”. Huber’s “credo”: The CIO is not all about technology – he is more committed to the flow of information and processes, is evident in each sentence of his exciting speech. Huber explains his view of process mining and describes how it is implemented in the voestalpine Group.
