Stimmen Sie zu? Das Corornavirus hat die Digitalisierung schneller vorangebracht, als vor Jahresfrist vorstellbar war. Neue, in den vergangenen Monaten etablierte Verhaltensmuster werden unsere Arbeitswelt dauerhaft prägen. Wenn das Virus und die von ihm ausgelöste Krise ein „Turbo“ für Veränderungen ist: Was bedeutet das für die Arbeit der Controller*innen? Diese vielschichtige Frage beleuchten Referenten aus dem ICV-Fachkreis „Future of Work“ auf der öffentlichen Controlling-Fachtagung CAB 2020 am 17. September. Ihr Thema: „Zukunft der Arbeit und Unternehmenssteuerung (Controlling) – Die Coronakrise als Turbo“.
Seit knapp zwei Jahren widmet sich der ICV-Fachkreis der Entwicklung von Mitarbeiterkompetenzen im Controlling im Zusammenhang mit der Transformation von Märkten und Unternehmen. Dieser Wandel geht von Beginn an – und nun erst recht – weit über das Beherrschen neuer Informationstechnologien hinaus. Er betrifft zum Beispiel die Arbeitsorganisation, die Kompetenzen von Mitarbeitern und Führungskräften und natürlich auch die Unternehmenskultur.
So stellt sich der ICV-Fachkreis angesichts dramatisch beschleunigter, umfassender Veränderungen in der Arbeitswelt einer Reihe drängender Fragen:
- Unter anderem geht es um die Hinwendung zu einer agilen Unternehmenssteuerung auf der Basis von Real Time Daten: „Nowcasting statt Forecasting oder Budgetierung“ ist einer der Gedanken.
- Ein anderer geht in Richtung Aufgaben- und Projekt-orientiertes Arbeiten anstelle des Arbeitens gemäß Stellenbeschreibung.
- „Neue Kompetenzen“ für Controller*innen ergeben sich auch aus dem künftig viel stärker verbreiteten Arbeiten in Netzwerken, in temporären Strukturen und mit mehr Selbstorganisation, wie es das Homeoffice verlangt. Dies alles bedarf neuer Rollen und Kompetenzen im Controlling.
In ihrem CAB-Vortrag werden Angela Saloch, Teamleiterin Controlling Flight Ops & Technical Fleet Management, Deutsche Lufthansa, und Dr. Jörg Thienemann, CEO & Business Analytics Advisor, Detect Value AG, Leiter des regionalen ICV-Arbeitskreises Rhein-Necker, Erkenntnisse aus dem Fachkreis vorstellen. Darin Eingang gefunden haben die Ergebnisse einer Fachkreis-Umfrage zur Corona-bedingten Arbeit von Controller*innen im Homeoffice. Angela Saloch gewährt zudem Einblicke in die veränderten Arbeitsformen in ihrem Lufthansa-Bereich.

For almost two years now, the ICV expert work group has focused on developing employee skills in controlling that go hand in hand with the transformation of markets and companies. Right from the start – and now even more – this goes far beyond mastering “new technologies”. In view of the dramatically accelerated changes in the world of work, the expert work group is asking itself a number of “burning questions”. Among other things, the focus is on moving towards agile corporate management based on real-time data: “Nowcasting instead of forecasting or budgeting” is one of the thoughts. Another goes in the direction of task and project-oriented work instead of working according to the job description. “New competencies” for controllers will also result from what will be much more widespread in the future working in networks, temporary structures and more self-organization, e.g. the home office requires.
