Der Green-Controlling-Preis 2018 der Péter-Horváth-Stiftung in Kooperation mit dem Internationalen Controller Verein (ICV) ist an AIDA Cruises mit dem Projekt „Green Cruising“ verliehen worden. Dr. Ali Arnaout, Senior Vice President & CFO AIDA Cruises und CIO Costa Group, nahm den Preis aus den Händen von Prof. Dr. Dr. h.c. mult. Péter Horváth, stv. Aufsichtsratsvorsitzender Horváth AG, und Siegfried Gänßlen, ICV-Vorstandsmitglied, auf dem 32. Stuttgarter Controlling und Management Forum am 19. September ist entgegen.
Unmittelbar nach der Preisverleihung gab Dr. Arnaout dem ICV ein Interview. Darin erläutert er die innovativen Ansätze, die AIDA Cruises verfolgt, um die „Green-Cruising“-Strategie als elementaren Bestandteil der Unternehmensplanung und -steuerung abzubilden. Für AIDA Cruises stellen Ökologie und Ökonomie keinen Widerspruch dar. Aufgrund der langjährigen strategischen Bedeutung von Nachhaltigkeit für AIDA Cruises ist „Green Controlling“ ein integrativer Bestandteil der Unternehmensplanung und -steuerung. Als innovativ charakterisiert Dr. Arnaout, dass in seinem Unternehmen die Ziele des Green-Cruising auf allen Planungsstufen im Rahmen der strategischen und operativen Unternehmensplanung verankert sowie ökologische und ökonomische Zielzusammenhänge durchgängig in der betriebswirtschaftlichen Steuerung abgebildet sind. Das Controlling trägt dazu bei
den Beitrag der Nachhaltigkeitsziele zu beurteilen, die Risiken einzuschätzen und die Frage zu beantworten, welches Budget für die Schaffung von Nachhaltigkeit angemessen und akzeptabel bereitgestellt werden muss. Hier gehe es darum das Portfolio zu steuern – und das angesichts der sich permanent verändernden Auflagen und Vorschriften in der Kreuzschiffahrt.

The Green Controlling Award 2018 of the Péter Horváth Foundation in cooperation with the International Association of Controllers (ICV) was awarded to AIDA Cruises for the project “Green Cruising”. Dr. Ali Arnaout, Senior Vice President & CFO AIDA Cruises and CIO Costa Group, accepted the award from Prof. Dr. Dr. h.c. mult. Péter Horváth, Deputy Chairman of the Supervisory Board Horváth AG, and Siegfried Gänßlen, member of the ICV Board at the 32nd Stuttgart Controlling and Management Forum on September 19.
Immediately after the award ceremony, Dr. Arnaout gave the ICV an interview. In it, he explains the innovative approaches that AIDA Cruises pursues in order to map the “Green Cruising” strategy as an elementary component of corporate planning and management. For AIDA Cruises, ecology and economy are not contradictory. Due to the long-standing strategic importance of sustainability for AIDA Cruises, “Green Controlling” is an integral part of corporate planning and management. Dr. Arnaout characterizes as innovative, that the goals of the Green Cruising are anchored in the enterprise at all planning stages in the context of the strategic and operative enterprise planning as well as ecological and economic goal coherences are mapped in his enterprise in the corporate management. Controlling contributes to this to assess the contribution of sustainability objectives, to assess the risks and to answer the question what budget should be adequately and appropriately provided for the creation of sustainability. This is about managing the portfolio – and that in light of the constantly changing requirements and regulations in the cruise shipping.
