Auch bei seiner diesjährigen Januar-Sitzung hatte der ICV-Vorstand am vergangenen Freitag und Sonnabend (18./19.01.2019) wieder ein umfangreiches Pensum zu absolvieren. Im Mittelpunkt der Beratungen standen Ziele, Maßnahmen und das Budget 2019.
Dabei gingen die Vorstände eingangs auf die Ergebnisse des ICV Management Meetings vom 1. Dezember 2018 mit den Regionaldelegierten und auf einen inzwischen vorliegenden Konzeptentwurf „Young Professionals“ näher ein. Daraus abgeleitet wurden eine Reihe von Maßnahmen beraten.
Unter anderem gilt es 2019, den 44. Congress der Controller (13./14. Mai 2019, München) zum Controlling-Highlight des Jahres in Europa zu machen. Ebenso standen erfolgreich zu gestaltende regionale ICV-Fachtagungen im Fokus. Den eingeleiteten kontinuierlichen Knowhow-Transfer aus den ICV-Fachkreisen in die Controlling-Community zu verstetigen und qualitativ weiterzuentwickeln, ist ein weiterer Jahresschwerpunkt. Beraten wurden auch Maßnahmen zur Gewinnung von Young Professionals und Firmenmitgliedschaften sowie zur Bindung von „Young Retirees“.
Der Vorstand erörterte den Jahresabschluss 2018, der erfreulich positiv ausfällt, und erarbeitete das Budget 2019. Beides wird auf der ICV-Mitgliederversammlung am 12. Mai in München vorgestellt.
Im Anschluss an die Vorstandssitzung fanden – wie seit vielen Jahren – ab Samstagvormittag gemeinsame Beratungen mit dem von Prof. Dr. Jürgen Weber geleiteten ICV-Kuratorium statt. Dabei ging es um die Ausgestaltung der Zusammenarbeit, die gesteckten Ziele 2019 zu erreichen sowie um die Vorbereitung der ICV-Mitgliederversammlung, bei der in diesem Jahr auch die Wahl des Kuratoriums ansteht. Als Ergebnis der gemeinsamen Beratungen von Vorstand und Kuratorium wird sich der ICV angesichts der Digitalisierung noch stärker für alle im Controlling-Prozess eingebundenen Berufsgruppen öffnen und adäquate Angebote für Manager (Self-Controlling), Data Scientists etc. schaffen.

Also at this year’s January meeting, the ICV Board had a lot of work on Friday and Saturday (18/19.01.2019). The discussions focused on the goals, measures and the 2019 budget.
At the beginning of the meeting, the Executive Board Members discussed in detail the results of the ICV Management Meeting on December 1, 2018, with the regional delegates and the concept draft “Young Professionals” that has since become available. Based on it a number of measures were discussed.
Among other things, 2019 is to make the 44th Congress of Controllers (May 13/14, 2019, Munich) the controlling highlight of the year in Europe. The focus was also on successful ICV regional conferences. The continuous transfer of know-how from the ICV expert work groups to the controlling community and its further development in terms of quality is another focus of the year. Also consulted were measures for the acquisition of young professionals and corporate memberships as well as for the retention of “young retirees”.
The Executive Board discussed the financial statements 2018, which turned out to be pleasingly positive, and prepared the budget for 2019. Both will be presented at the ICV General Meeting in Munich on May 12.
Following the Board meeting, as of many years, common consultations with the ICV Board of Trustees chaired by Prof. Dr. Jürgen Weber took place. The meeting focused on the design of the cooperation to reach the goals 2019 as well as the preparation of the ICV General Meeting, which this year also includes the election of the Board of Trustees. As a result of the joint deliberations of the Executive Board and the Board of Trustees, the ICV will open up even more for all occupational groups involved in the controlling process facing the digitization and create adequate offers for managers (self-controlling), data scientists etc.
