Schon vor der Corona-Krise war die „Zukunft der Arbeit“ natürlich auch ein Thema in Finance und Controlling. Im ICV etwa arbeitet seit Herbst 2018 der Fachkreis „Future of Work“. Demografischer und Wertewandel, VUCA, aber vor allem die Digitalisierung, kündigten den Wandel in der Arbeitswelt an. Dass die furchtbare Pandemie zur ungeahnten Beschleunigung beiträgt, ist unumstritten; strittig für manche ist noch die Frage, wie nachhaltig die Turboänderungen im „New Normal“ sein werden. Dabei geht es ganz und gar nicht nur um die Frage, ob oder ob nicht, wie oft und für wen künftig Homeoffice „erlaubt“ sein wird. Es geht um Fragen der Unternehmenskultur, um Kompetenzen und Einstellungen bei Mitarbeitenden wie bei Führungskräften, es geht um digitale Lösungen und es geht um Interaktionsprozesse in den Unternehmen. Interne wie externe sind fundamental vom Wandel betroffen. Als Folge der Corona-Krise wurden und werden traditionell organisierte Prozesse rasant aufgebrochen und z.B. ins Homeoffice verlagert.

Even before the corona crisis, the “future of work” was of course also an issue in finance and controlling. It is by no means just a question of whether or not, how often and for whom home office will be “allowed” in the future. It’s about a question of corporate culture, skills and attitudes among employees and managers, it’s about digital solutions and it’s about interaction processes in companies. Internal and external are fundamentally affected by the change. As a result of the corona crisis, traditionally organized processes have been and are being broken up rapidly and e.g. relocated to the home office.
