Seit Jahren verändert die Digitalisierung bereits die Anforderungen und Aufgaben im Controlling und ebenso lange hat der ICV diese im Fokus. Die logische Konsequenz war, die Digitalisierung 2022 zu einem der Jahresthemen zu erheben und zum Schwerpunkt auf 46. Congress der Controller zu erklären. So widmete sich Prof. Dr. Othmar Lehner, Director of the Hanken Center of Accounting, Finance and Governance Hanken School of Economics, in seinem englischsprachigen Vortrag dem “Machine Learning und #AI für zukunftsfähiges ESG Reporting” und Walter Mertl, Senior Vice President Group Controlling, erläuterte die “Digitale Transformation im BMW #Controlling”. Im Themenzentrum B auf der Fachtagung, das Robert Tischler, Senior Analyst und Geschäftsführer von BARC, moderierte, wartete auf die Teilnehmenden eine Predictive Planning Challenge. Heinrich Nordsieck von CoPlanner, Julian Kestler von Jedox und Martin Winkler von Cubewise präsentierten, wie Hochrechnungen mit statistischen Methoden und Machine Learning weitgehend automatisiert werden können. Im Closing stellte Dr. Carsten Bange “Aktuelle Trends und Entwicklungen am Markt der Planungs- und Reporting-Systeme” vor. Der ICV dankt an dieser Stelle noch einmal allen, die das Thema “Digitalisierung” auf der Fachtagung mit gestaltet haben.

Digitization has changed the requirements and tasks in controlling for years and the ICV has focused on them for just as long. The logical consequence was to make digitization one of the topics of the year in 2022 as well as to make it the focus of the 46th Congress of Controllers. So Prof. Dr. Othmar Lehner, Director of the Hanken Center of Accounting, Finance and Governance Hanken School of Economics, focused in his English-language lecture on “Machine Learning and #AI for sustainable ESG Reporting” and Walter Mertl, Senior Vice President Group Controlling, explained the “Digital Transformation in BMW #Controlling”. A predictive planning challenge awaited the participants in the Topic Cluster B at the conference, which was moderated by Robert Tischler, Senior Analyst and Managing Director of BARC. Heinrich Nordsieck from CoPlanner, Julian Kestler from Jedox and Martin Winkler from Cubewise presented how extrapolations can be largely automated using statistical methods and machine learning. At the closing, Dr. Carsten Bange talked on “Current trends and developments in the market for planning and reporting systems”.
