CIS 2019 (4): “Denke darüber nach, was zu tun ist – und nicht, was passieren kann!” CIS 2019 (4): "Think about what to do - not what can happen!"

Viel Gesagtes verdient vollste Zustimmung, z.B. “denke darüber nach, was zu tun ist – und nicht, was passieren kann!”, “liebe, was du tust – und tue, was du liebst!”, “…worin du einen Sinn siehst”. – New work, pur. Klasse!

About “Controlling the transformation of the automotive industry” speaks Dr. Dietmar Voggenreiter, Senior Advisor at Horváth & Partners (Munich). What are the consequences of the transformation of propulsion technology into electric vehicles, autonomous vehicles and mobility services? The speaker outlines the upcoming role extension from automobile manufacturer to mobility provider. What effects do the changes have on the controlling and controllers in automotive companies? Dr. Voggenreiter says that today’s typical series / production controlling will lose importance; the service controlling will win. In sales too, the requirements are changing: According to the speaker, the “sales index” must be managed in the future for co-product earnings contributions.

The sparkling finale of #cis2019_controlling is set by Wolfgang Fasching, extreme athlete and motivational expert. He is announced with the title “You can do what you want – the power of thought!”. The speaker himself has realized his dreams with an unbending will, won the Race Across America three times and is the first person to pedal 10,000 km nonstop through Russia from Vladivostok to St. Petersburg. His speech has some verve. Wolfgang Fasching thrills the listener with seemingly simple “wisdom”; plausible and no self-evidences. Likewise, he has something new to tell: about “nomophobia”, about „fear of not being reachable”. Does anyone recognize themselves? Much of what was said deserves full approval, e.g. “Think about what to do – not what can happen!”, “Love what you do – and do what you love!”, “… in which you see the meaning”. – New work, pure. Class!
