Zum Auftakt des Congresses eröffnete FH-Prof. Dipl.-Ing. Dr. Heimo Losbichler (FH Oberösterreich, Vorsitzender des ICV-Vorstands und der IGC) gemeinsam mit dem Schirmherrn der Veranstaltung, Dr. Richard Lutz (Vorstandsvorsitzender, Deutsche Bahn AG, Berlin, Mitglied des ICV-Kuratoriums) den 44. Congress der Controller unter dem Motto „Prepare for your future“), der seit über 10 Jahren regelmäßig selbst an diesem bedeutenden Netzwerktreffen teilnimmt. Digitalisierung ist nicht neu, sondern verändert längst unser (Berufs-)Leben heute. Der Congress soll ausloten, wie vielfältige Möglichkeiten und Chancen für Unternehmen in allen Branchen genutzt werden können.
Über Kernthemen des Programms informierte anschließend Heimo Losbichler. Neben politischen, technologischen und sonstigen Rahmenbedingungen sind das die Wirkungen der Digitalisierung. Das Berufsbild des Controllers wird sich verändern. Rolle und Selbstverständnis, Prozesse und Instrumente und nicht zuletzt fachliche und persönliche Anforderungen werden durch Digitalisierung und neue Aspekte wie etwa Advanced Analytics, Big Data und Automatisierung beeinflusst. Wird es ein autonomes oder ein assistenzbasiertes Controling geben? Jedenfalls liegt vor uns allen in den kommenden Jahren ein umfassender und spannender Transformationsprozess.

At the beginning of the Congress, FH-Prof. Dipl.-Ing. Dr. Heimo Losbichler (FH Upper Austria, Chairman of the ICV Board and the IGC) opened the 44th Congress of Controllers under the motto “Prepare for your future” together with the patron of the event, Dr. Richard Lutz (CEO, Deutsche Bahn AG, Berlin, member of the ICV Board of Trustees) who has regularly participates in this major network meeting for over 10 years. Digitization is not new but has long changed our (professional) life today. The Congress will explore how diverse opportunities and chances for companies can be used in all sectors.
Heimo Losbichler then informed about core topics of the agenda. In addition to political, technological and other framework conditions, these are the effects of digitization. The job description of the controller will change. Role and self-image, processes and instruments and not least professional and personal requirements are influenced by digitization and new aspects such as advanced analytics, Big Data and automation. Will there be autonomous or assistant-based controling? Anyway, in the coming years we will all face a comprehensive and exciting transformation process.
