ICV-Vorstände: Welche Konsequenzen die Verschiebung des 45. Congress der Controller nach 2021 hat ICV Board Members: What are the consequences of postponing the 45th Congress of Controllers to 2021?

Der 45. Congress der Controller – alljährliches Highlight der europäischen Controlling-Community und wesentliche Quelle für das Wirtschaften des Gastgebers ICV Internationaler Controller Verein – musste angesichts der Corona-Pandemie vom 27./28. April 2020 auf den 26./27. April 2021 verschoben werden. In einem Gespräch mit Peter Bluhm (ATVISIO) vom “Performance Manager Podcast” geben Prof. Dr. Heimo Losbichler, ICV-Vorstandsvorsitzender, und Matthias von Daacke, stv. ICV-Vorstandsvorsitzender, wichtige Hintergrundinformationen. Wie kam es zu der Entscheidung? Was bedeutet die Verschiebung organisatorisch für alle Beteiligten? Die Entscheidung wurde gründlich vorbereitet. Der gastgebende ICV erlebt nach der Verschiebung von allen Seiten – Teilnehmende, Referierende, Ausstellende – viel Entgegenkommen. Mit verschiedenen Ansätzen soll Schäden aus den Einnahmeverlusten entgegengewirkt werden. In 2020 wird der ICV in der  Controlling-Community vor allem mit einem starken Online-Angebot sowie mit attraktiven Herbsttagungen wirken. Beim Congress 2021 werden Performance, Digitalisierung, Neues Arbeiten, Recovery und Re-Start im Mittelpunkt stehen. Jetzt sind Aktionen zugunsten des ICV, wie das Hörbuch “Karriere-Bibel für Controller” höchst willkommen.

The 45th Congress of Controllers – annual highlight of the European controlling community and an essential source for the financing of the host ICV International Association of Controllers – facing the corona pandemic had to be postponed from April 27/28, 2020 to April 26/27, 2021. In an interview with Peter Bluhm (ATVISIO) from the “Performance Manager Podcast”, Prof. Dr. Heimo Losbichler, Chairman of the ICV, and Matthias von Daacke, Vice Chairman of the ICV, give important background information. How did the decision come about? What does this change mean in organizational terms for everyone involved? What economic consequences does the postponement have for the ICV and what does it mean? What offers will the ICV make to the controlling community in 2020? What topics are considered for the Congress in 2021?

The decision was carefully prepared. After the postponement, the host ICV experiences a lot of courtesy from all sides – participants, speakers, exhibitors. Various approaches are aimed at counteracting damages from the loss of revenue. In 2020, the ICV will work in the controlling community primarily with a strong online offer and with attractive autumn conferences. The Congress 2021 will focus on performance, digitization, new work, recovery and restart. Actions in favor of the ICV, such as the audio book “Career Bible for Controllers” are now highly welcome.
