Zu diesem Schluss kommt eine Studie „KI & Automatisierung im Rechnungswesen und Controlling“ des Bielefelder Unternehmens Diamant Software. Aber: ControllerInnen müssen sich für neue Aufgaben wappnen. Hilfe bietet das Themenzentrum „KI im Controlling“ beim ICV Congress der Controller am 26./27. April 2021. Erstmals in seinem 45-jährigen Bestehen findet er komplett online statt; von einer Anfangs geplanten Präsenzoption sieht der ICV nun ab.
Aber auch online verlieren die Angebote des renommierten Kongresses nichts von ihrer Strahlkraft. Neben den Vorträgen an den beiden Vormittagen punktet der Montagnachmittag mit den Themenzentren. Eines davon widmet sich der Fragestellung „Künstliche Intelligenz im Controlling?“ Den Auftaktvortrag übernimmt ein eingespieltes Duo aus Prof. Dr. Ronald Gleich und Stefan Tobias. Gemeinsam leiten sie die Ideenwerkstatt – den Think Tank des ICV. Ronald Gleich ist seit vergangenem Sommer Academic Director des Centers for Performance Management & Controlling an der Frankfurt School of Finance & Management. Stefan Tobias ist Partner bei Horváth & Partners in Stuttgart. Beim Congress der Controller widmen sie sich den Potenzialen, Entwicklungsstufen und Anwendungen von Künstlicher Intelligenz im Controlling. Aktuelle und potenzielle Anwendungsbeispiele kommen genauso zur Sprache wie ein Ausblick auf das nächste Jahrzehnt: Wo steht das Controlling und was macht ein Controller eigentlich im Jahr 2030?
Dieser Frage geht auch die oben genannte Studie nach. „Was tun Controller, wenn sich Berichte von selbst erstellen?“, fragt etwa Prof. Dr. Christian Faupel, beim ICV Kooperationspartner Technische Hochschule Ostwestfalen-Lippe für Controlling und Kostenmanagement zuständig, die Studie einleitend. Die Antwort ist ganz im Sinne der Kernelemente des ICV: ControllerInnen werden zu Business-Partnern für das Management, so ein weiteres Fazit der Studie.

The topic cluster “AI in Controlling” at the ICV Congress of Controllers on April 26/27, 2021 helps. For the first time in its 45th history, the Congress takes place entirely online; the ICV is now giving up the initially planned presence option.
But the offers of the renowned Congress lose nothing being online. In addition to the lectures on the two mornings, the Monday afternoon scores with the topic clusters. One of them is devoted to the question “Artificial intelligence in controlling?” The opening speech is given by a well-rehearsed duo of Prof. Dr. Ronald Gleich and Stefan Tobias. Together they run the ICV Think Tank. Ronald Gleich has been Academic Director of the Center for Performance Management & Controlling at the Frankfurt School of Finance & Management since last summer. Stefan Tobias is a partner at Horváth & Partners in Stuttgart. At the Congress of Controllers they focus on the potentials, stages of development and applications of artificial intelligence in controlling. Current and potential application examples are discussed as well as an outlook for the next decade: Where does controlling stand and what does a controller actually do in 2030?
The study mentioned above also investigates this question. “What do controllers do when reports create themselves?” asks Prof. Dr. Christian Faupel, responsible for controlling and cost management at the ICV cooperation partner Technische Hochschule Ostwestfalen-Lippe, introducing the study. The answer is entirely in keeping with the core elements of the ICV: Controllers become business partners for management, according to a further conclusion of the study.
