#cab2018_controlling: Bonner Tagung ist wieder bedeutender Community-Treffpunkt #cab2018_controlling: Bonn conference is once again a major community gathering place

Sehr zufrieden waren die Organisatoren der „14. Controlling Advantage Bonn – CAB 2018“ am Abend des 15. November. Über 90 Teilnehmer, Referenten und Aussteller hatten die regionale ICV-Fachtagung wieder zu einem bedeutenden Controlling-Event und Treffpunkt der Controlling-Community der Region West gemacht. Das anspruchsvolle wie abwechslungsreiche Programm hatte für viele Informationen und Denkanstöße gesorgt, die Gäste konnten in angenehmer Atmosphäre bestehende Kontakte vertiefen und neue Kontakte knüpfen.

Souverän moderierte Jurate Keblyte, Executive Advisor, Keblyte + Team: Performance Strategies, Leiterin des ICV-Fachkreises Digitale Transformation, die Tagung. Erster Redner war Harry Barth, Leiter Controlling, Phoenix Contact E-Mobility GmbH, Schieder, Mitglied im ICV-Arbeitskreis Westfalen. Er referierte zum Thema, „Wie Sie mit Data Science Ihren Datenschatz heben“.

In seinem anschließenden Vortrag, „Digitalisierung verändert Unternehmen, Manager und Controller“, trug Frank Ahlrichs, konsequent. Management Services GmbH, Radevormwald, Leiter des ICV-Fachkreises Controlling und Qualität, Interessantes und einiges nachdenklich Stimmendes,
vor allem zur sich ändernden Rolle und Selbstverständnis der Controller vor.

In ihrem gemeinsamen Vortrag rückten Prof. Dr. Andreas Gadatsch, Professor für Wirtschaftsinformatik und Leiter des Big Data Innovation Centers, und Andreas Schmidt, PhD, Student und Mitarbeiter im Big Data Innovation Center, Bonn-Rhein-Sieg University of Applied Sciences, Sankt Augustin, den „Endnutzer (ins) Zentrum digitaler Unternehmenssteuerung“. Dabei fokussierte sich Prof Gadatsch auf „Data Analytics für den Mittelstand“, während Schmidt „Datengetriebene Unternehmenssteuerung – Wie sich über Daten Mehrwerte für das Unternehmen schaffen lassen“, in den Mittelpunkt rückte.

Mit dem Vortrag von Prof. Dr. Karsten Oehler, Rechnungswesen und Controlling, Provadis / Hochschule, Frankfurt am Main / Business Development, pmOne AG Unterschleißheim, „Predictive Forecasting pragmatisch: gangbare Wege zur Verbesserung der Vorschaurechnung“, wurde die CAB 2018 nach einer kommunikativen Mittagspause fortgesetzt. „Was der Controller über Blockchains wissen muss“, erläuterte anschließend Prof. Dr. Stefan Eckstein, TH Köln Technology, Arts, Sciences; F10 Fakultät für Informatik und Ingenieurswissenschaften; Lehrstuhl für Management, Gummersbach, eingänglich in seinem Vortrag „Auswirkung der Blockchain-Technologie auf das Controlling“.

Den Abschluss der Bonner Fachtagung bildete eine höchst interessante Podiumsdiskussion mit den Referenten. Dabei wurden noch einmal Fragen wie die Auswirkungen der Digitalisierung auf Geschäftsmodell, Arbeitswelt und natürlich auf das Controlling, das Entstehen neuer Berufsbilder diskutiert.

Nach dem schönen Erfolg freuen sich die CAB-Organisatoren auf die CAB 2019. Die 15. CAB findet am 7. November 2019 wieder in Bonn statt.

The organizers of the “14th Controlling Advantage Bonn – CAB 2018” on the evening of November 15 were really pleased. More than 90 participants, speakers and exhibitors made the regional ICV conference an important controlling event and meeting place for the controlling community of the West Germany region. The demanding and diverse agenda had provided plenty of information and food for thought, and the guests were able to deepen existing contacts and make new contacts in a pleasant atmosphere.

Jurate Keblyte, Executive Advisor, Keblyte + Team: Performance Strategies, Head of the ICV expert work group Digital Transformation was the moderator of the event. The first speaker was Harry Barth, Head of Controlling, Phoenix Contact E-Mobility GmbH, Schieder, member of the ICV work group Westphalia. He gave a speech on “How to use data science to leverage your data”.

In the next speech “Digitalization changes companies, managers and controllers,” Frank Ahlrichs, konsequent. Management Services GmbH, Radevormwald, Head of the ICV expert work group Controlling and Quality, presented interesting and a lot of thought-provoking ideas, above all on the changing role and self-understanding of the controller.

In their joint presentation, Prof. Dr. Andreas Gadatsch, Professor of Business Informatics and Head of the Big Data Innovation Center, and Andreas Schmidt, PhD, student and staff member of the Big Data Innovation Center, Bonn-Rhein-Sieg University of Applied Sciences, Sankt Augustin, spoke about „The end-user in the center of digital company governance”. Prof. Gadatsch focused on “data analytics for small and medium-sized businesses”, while Schmidt focused on “data-driven corporate management – how data can be used to create added value for the company”.

With the speech of Prof. Dr. Karsten Oehler, Accounting and Controlling, Provadis / University of Applied Sciences, Frankfurt am Main / Business Development, pmOne AG Unterschleissheim, “Predictive forecasting pragmaticly: Viable ways to improve forecasting”, the CAB 2018 was continued after a communicative lunch break. “What every controller needs to know about blockchains”, explained Prof. Dr. Stefan Eckstein, TH Cologne Technology, Arts, Sciences; F10 Faculty of Computer Science and Engineering; Chair of Management, Gummersbach, in his speech “Effect of blockchain technology on controlling”.

The conclusion of the Bonn conference was a highly interesting panel discussion with the speakers. Questions on impact of digitalization on the business model, the world of work and of course on controlling and emerging of new job profiles were discussed once again.

After this great success, the CAB organizers are looking forward to the CAB 2019. The 15th CAB takes place on November 7, 2019 in Bonn again.
